"Quantum Physics" --- Quantum physics is the study of single particles and small groups of particles. At this level, everyday matter shows...well, some very strange behavior. We'll shrink into the region of ultracold atoms and high-temperature superconductors with LSU physics professor Daniel Sheehy. [+] Expand

Solar Viewing
Weather permitting, the Sun will be viewed in three manners—projected onto a white surface, directly via safely-filtered optical light and directly with safely-filtered hydrogen-alpha wavelength. With these techniques visitors are able to see any sizable sunspots or flares occurring. Protective clothing and sunscreen recommended. (Sunspot and flare activity will probably be at its highest during 2013, so do not lose this opportunity to experience the action!) [+] Expand
