Led by a member of the Baton Rouge Audubon Society, visitors enjoy a morning hike through the forest and swamp while identifying various bird species.

Children engage in visuals presentations and hands-on demonstrations related to astronomy, physics and space science. They rise through the ranks, earning higher Cadet Certificates through the year, with periodic sampling of International Space Station menus.

Paddle Up 2 programs are intermediate, open water paddling classes. Participants will practice advanced techniques and learn intermediate maneuvering skills on a local BREC pond or the University Lakes.

Summer's End Night Hike & Campfire: Frenchtown

A great way to say goodbye to summer and kick off the school year. Program includes a night hike with a BREC naturalist learning about local ecology and nocturnal animals, and includes activities and games. End the night around a campfire roasting marshmallows and learning local folklore.
