Campout 2.0

Campout 2.0 is for those families or groups that love the outdoors and want to take their adventures away from home. During this fun excursion, BREC staff will accompany families that have minimal experience camping.

Canasta

Meet new friends or bring a group with you to compete in a fun game of cards. Canasta is a multiple player "rummy" style card game.

Capoeira

Capoeira is and Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music.

Cardio Tennis

A fun and social fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all abilities.

Catholic Charities Day

Learn from the professionals how to take control of your health in the kitchen. Nutrition and health professionals will give engaging presentations, offer fun games and other activities, all with your health in mind. Each session ends with a delicious, nutritional meal.

Chair Aerobics: Anna T. Jordan

This is a fun-filled class that varies and combines toning, stretching and strength training exercises for a complete body workout.

Chair Volleyball

This is a fun-filled game of chair volleyball and upper body strength training.

Cheernastics

This class is designed for an introduction to all-star cheerleading. Participants will learn basic cheers, dances and stunts.

Chess

Did you know that playing Chess develops not just one side, but both sides of your brain? Chess is the ultimate board game for two players and is highly competitive. It is credited with improving educational outcomes for children and preventing Alzheimer’s in adults. Learn a new skill or test your skills against new players.

Cinco de Mayo

Celebrate the Mexican holiday with authentic food, great music, children’s village, arts and crafts, information vendors, family games and more.

Co-Ed Boxing

Olympic style boxing with high energy output. Teaching the fundamentals of hand wrapping and skill sets for offense and defense.

Commence Tennis

An adult program for beginner players that uses modified courts and balls with play-based coaching. Six weeks of play. Program Director: Keenan Ruff.

Community Kids At Play: Zachary

Participants engage in fun, outdoor, recreational games designed to enhance physical movement skills and coordination. This program facilitates an environment for weekly, non-league, pick-up, backyard type fun games including kickball, dodgeball and other outdoor recreational games as voted on by the participants.

Community Music & Heritage Festival

Join BREC and the Scotlandville Hornet Alumni Association for this great day of family entertainment featuring performances by local artists, BREC's Children's Village will be from 2-6 p.m. and will include recreation games, information vendors, health resources, concessions and more.

Computer Class: Belfair

If you want to learn how to use a computer, then this easyto- follow class is designed specifically for you. We will cover basic computer concepts, how to use a mouse, how to use the keyboard and how to customize your system. Students will also learn how to send emails, navigate a web browser and safeguard against malware. Students may bring in their own laptops/tablets or use one of our desktops. Step-by-step instructions are provided and no prior computer knowledge is required, but having a home computer to enjoy what we learn would be beneficial.

Computer Workshop

Have you ever wondered how kids are such naturals with the computer? Surprise them by taking this workshop which teaches seniors how to utilize different aspects of the computer and various software. You’ll be surfing like a pro in no time!

Crochet

Learn how to make beautiful blankets, baby clothes and much more. Crochet is a form of needlework which uses a hook to make decorative items and clothes.

Dance2Fit

DANCE2FIT is a choreographed hip hop class with fitness moves incorporated in the routines such as squats, jumping jacks, lunges, burpees etc. High intense interval training and AB routines can be added towards the end of class.
