Children will also have the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with Zoo animals. Bring your child to Bluebonnet Swamp for two days of fun during the spring holiday break (Monday & Tuesday). They’ll be treated to nature-based activities such as arts and crafts, live animal encounters, hikes, games, and a themed afternoon snack. Activities will focus on springtime topics such as baby animals, blooming plants and bees. Each day will be comprised of different activities, and campers will need to bring a bag lunch and drink each day.

"Rocketeers" construct chemical engine rockets (either two single-stage rockets or a sole two-stage rocket). Each rocket camp is themed to connect it to a NASA mission; each includes a special STEM activity related to spaceflight.

SPRING HOLIDAY HANDS-ON HISTORY CAMP

Campers will explore early 19th century history and make spring themed crafts. From leaning how to play stick and hoop, to weaving a 'mug' rug, campers will see the fun side of history. The two days will end with the campers cooking in the open hearth kitchen and visiting the museum store.

When school is out, BREC Holiday camps are in! Offering children, ages 4-12, safe, structured recreational activities of holiday themed active and passive games, as well as arts and crafts. Children must bring two snacks, lunch and drinks for the day.
