Trail Recovery After Hurricane Ida

We are just over a month since Hurricane Ida brought havoc to our area and our team is still hard at work on recovery. We experienced the effects of this historic storm at many of our parks and debris clean-up is still underway. Immediately following Ida, all of our hiking trails were closed to allow our staff to access for safety and needed repairs/cleanup. We are steadily working day by day to get the trails cleared and ready for you to visit once again - several have already reopened. To see the progress or find out the status of your favorite hiking trail, follow BREC Conservation on Facebook or visit brec.org/trails.
