Duck Duck Goose Day

This event gives visitors a first-hand look at waterfowl decoy carving, an art form firmly rooted in Louisiana's rich cultural heritage, by featuring some of the region's oldest and most rare decoys displayed by carvers and collectors from all over the Deep South and beyond. This year’s event honors decoy carvers from “Downriver” and south of New Orleans, as well as those from Shell Beach.

Water Hyacinth Rodeo

It’s time to round ‘em up and move ‘em out and we need YOUR help! It’s a rode of sorts and water hyacinth is the focus. This non-native, invasive plant has taken over our lake and we need your help to get it out. Temperatures are too high to spray this noxious weed so come help us see how much Hyacinth we can remove in one day to make the pond fishable again! Tools provided but you may bring your own as long as safe and approved.
