Saturday Camp

Every Saturday, community youth participate in a series of planned activities that can enhance their social, academic, cultural arts and critical thinking skills while having lots of fun. This free program, offered in partnership with the YMCA and Abounding Love Ministries, operates from Sept. 15, 2018 to May 24, 2019

Open House Series for Juniors

Kids come out and learn to play tennis. BREC provides equipment and racquets. Please bring a water bottle and dress to sweat.

T-Ball & Coaches Pitch Clinic

This program teaches participants the fundamentals of softball/baseball including fielding, throwing, running bases, and hitting. Children need to wear closed shoes that they can easily run in; no flip-flops, scandals, or clogs.

Pee Wee Program: Highland

This program consists of 45-minute classes designed to introduce the game of tennis to younger children. Help your child develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, overall athleticism, and fundamental tennis strokes.

Science Academy

“Cadets” are brought into the wonderful world of astronomy. They explore gravity, simple machines, stars, planets, meteors, the Earth and the Moon, asteroids and comets, the electromagnetic spectrum and the American space program! Each session is stand-alone, but your child will want to attend again and again.

Tiny Steps

This Mother’s Day Out Program to gets your little one prepared for school. The recreation based curriculum will provide your child with the academic and social tools they'll need for Kindergarten success. It includes organized recreational games, creative art projects, singing and dancing, while socializing with their peers.

Come explore everything Lego! There will be a different Lego challenge each week given to the children, whether it is building an actual Lego figurine, or an arts and crafts to engage the children’s creative thinking. All materials are supplied by BREC and not taken home by children.

Tumbling

Instructors will teach basic tumbling skills, flexibility and self-confidence with an emphasis on safety and proper techniques. Children will focus on beginner tumbling skills such as forward and backwards rolls, handstands, bridges, cartwheels and backbends.
