BREC's Dog Parks provide parks for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a controlled environment under the direct supervision of their owners. Owners use the park at their own risk, pick up after their dog and obey posted rules and regulations. BREC is not responsible for injury or illness to dogs or owners. All dog parks are open from dawn until dusk.

The back section of the Burbank Dog Park pond will not reopen and will remain closed permanently . The maintenance required to prevent erosion and maintain water quality does not create an ideal area for dog free play. We attempted to mitigate the issues through regular maintenance and improvements but it has become cost prohibitive and a strain on our staff resources. We are working to develop additional dog play areas in the surrounding area. The main pond will remain open for use according to the regular schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Please see the State of Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals release on dangers of dogs swimming in natural bodies of water.
