Nature Explorers Virtual Club

Do you have a budding biologist, seasoned scientist, or an avid mud-pie enthusiast at home? Nature Explorers Virtual Club is the adventure for you! After the success of our virtual camp we want to keep the fun going and are happy to present the nature explorers virtual club! This once a week club will dive into month long themes and explore concepts related to the world around us with virtual nature hikes through BREC Conservation areas, live animal encounters, active outdoor explorations, games, challenges, and much more! Join our enthusiastic naturalists for a themed month of adventure, engagement, and socialization.

Swamp Bird Walks

Due to current physical distancing requirements, we have temporarily discontinued our guided bird walks. Instead, we will be offering “early bird” hours on the first Saturday of each month for visitors to come enjoy our trails on their own, searching for our feathered friends and any other critters that may be up and about.

Spooky Sensation

There’s a chill in the air—that can only be explained by science.Come join us for a marshmallow roast with eerie true-life STEM stories, a scavenger hunt game to earn wicked prizes, physical science demos that will make you scream and more.

Conservation Science Expedition

Parents – Are you homeschooling and looking to branch out with your science lessons? Join us for a Conservation Science Expedition so your learners can explore nature from wherever they are! This five-week, project-based program will meet weekly over Zoom with our Naturalists to cover an important nature theme spanning the five sessions. Learners will get to interact with the Naturalist during the sessions, then will get to independently explore these topics while completing tasks on their own. Your learner’s work will culminate in completing a project that they will present during the final session related to the series’ theme.
