BREC's Tennis Department manages five major tennis centers, each housing its own pro shop that offers tennis resale merchandise, equipment rentals, refreshments and a full staff that manages court reservations and fees. The five major tennis centers provide a number of programs to the community, including tennis instruction, school athletic programs, youth and adult league play and tournaments. Facilities are available for rental to organizations for tournaments, workshops, and high school league practice. There are also 85 neighborhood tennis courts located at recreation centers throughout East Baton Rouge Parish where patrons can play tennis at no charge.

Attend BREC’s FREE Tennis Carnival Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9-11 a.m. at the Highland Road Park Tennis Center.  Free healthy snacks, refreshments, games, play, and prize courts.  BREC tennis instructors and volunteers will be assisting on court.  FREE youth ID cards provided by the EBR Parish Clerk of Court Office.  Atlas Dermatology providing skin cancer awareness and prevention information and sunscreen samples.  Come meet Deuce the Tennis Bear and have your photo taken.  No registration needed.  Join the fun!
