Participants will engage in fun activities in a safe environment, as well as enjoying physical activities and healthy snacks provided through a partnership with Big Buddy. Homework time is also provided.

Hearts & Hooves Therapeutic Riding Program

Riders ages six and older with disabilities participate in a six-week session of riding lessons tailored to their needs. Enjoy a one hour class on horseback learning stretching exercises, basic equitation and games. Horseback riding is known to improve core strength and coordination and provide a unique social opportunity with peers. Maximum class sizes of 10 riders, with three instructors and up to three volunteer assistants per rider.

This program facilitates an environment for weekly, non-league, pick-up, backyard type fun games including kickball, dodgeball and other outdoor recreational games as voted on by the participants.
