Birthday parties,ow. Pavillion rentals, swim lessons and public day camp trips registration begins on April 1, Mon.-Fri. from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Liberty Lagoon Guest Services Window.

Ages 2 and younger: Free (Admission fee will be charged if age is questionable.)

Pavilion Rentals
Advance reservations are required for rentals, birthday parties, etc. Reservations are final after a completed Reservation Rental Form is turned in and all fees are paid. Payments can be made in person with check, cash, credit card or debit card at Liberty Lagoon or over the phone with a credit card or debit card by calling 225-923-3202, fax 225-923-3204 or email bweinberger@brec.org. All guests must have a ticket to enter.

Exclusive Waterpark Rental
Want the Liberty Lagoon waterpark to yourself? You or your organization can plan an exciting outing after park operating hours party. Liberty Lagoon would be a great place for family reunions, social organizations, church groups or a company party. This rental will allow you access to the water park for three hours with up to 600 guests.
Liberty Lagoon promotes a safe atmosphere, therefore, all groups with must have at least one adult for every six children ages 12 and younger.

Summer Programming

Water Exploration Class (children 2-4 years old)
This class teaches the beginning stages of swimming including blowing bubbles, leg kicks, submerged face, arm actions and water safety. Class is taught in water depth of 3′ 6″.

Swim Lessons
This class teaches more advanced stages of swimming such as leg kicks, arm strokes, swimming under water, front crawl, back crawl, diving, streamline swimming techniques and water safety. Class is taught in water depth of 3′ 6″ or 8′ depending on skill level.

Aqua Zumba
Exercise done in the water decreases joint pain and stiffness while also improving joint flexibility and strength. These exercises take advantage of the gentle resistance and buoyancy of the water, making it easier for participants to move painful joints. This class integrates the Zumba formula with traditional aqua fitness disciplines. Aqua Zumba is a safe, challenging, water-based workout that is cardio-conditioning, body-toning and exhilarating. Class is taught in water depth of 3′ 6″.

Paddle Up 1

Learn to paddle a sea kayak while enjoying the exciting Liberty Lagoon Family Aquatics Center. This program will teach entry-level participants. Safety equipment and kayaks are provided on site as part of the program registration fee. Upon completion of the Paddle Up 1 class, participants can move onto the more advance classes BREC offers. The fee is $10 per person per class and classes are limited to 12 participants. BREC asks that all participants preregister for the classes in person or email bweinberger@brec.org to make a payment by phone.

Classes are taught on Saturdays from 7:30-8:30 a.m. or from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Swim Lessons are $6.50 per person, Cash Only. Pprogram and fees are non-refundable and can only register for one session. Swim lessons fill up fast, so we recommend registering on May 11. If you miss the "Sign-up Day" you can register at any of the three pools starting on May 27 from 1-5 p.m. and inquire if any openings are available.

 

Howell / Brooks AQUA CAMP

Children must be able to swim a distance of 25 yards on their front without a flotation device. Participant to Instructor ratio: 12:1

Specialty Camp: 9 a.m.-noon
Fee: $110 per week

 

LOCATIONS:
Brook Pool: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Howell Pool: 2-3:30 p.m.

 

WHAT TO BRING
Towel, water bottle, change of clothes, sunscreen, (mask, fins, snorkel if possible) and a lunch.

Splash Pads

Greenwood Community Park, Forest Community Park and City-Brooks Community Park

 

We will operate these two locations from March-October daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Forest Park is activated with the green push button on the light blue pole in the Splash Pad area.

Greenwood is activated with two yellow poles in the Splash Pad area and will engage the system.

Spray features will run for approximately 2-3 minutes and turn OFF. Pushing the button will re-engage the system.
