PIYO |
Pre-enrollment required. Call for details.
PIYO- This class combines Pilates and Yoga to create a challenging stretch and tone workout that sculpts from the inside out. Core strengthening exercises matched with aerobic movement create just the heat you need to burn calories. Please bring a yoga mat and towel with you to class. A water bottle is always recommended.
Adult Fitness - This low to medium impact class focuses on the needs of the older adult population. It combines aerobic and weight training exercises to increase strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance.
Benches and Bars - This is a pre-choreographed weightlifting class that combines music and weight training to tone and sculpt all major muscle groups. This class uses adjustable barbells and benches along with other strength tools to perform the ultimate workout. Changes in tempo generate an increase in heart-rate adding a cardio challenge to the activity.
Group Circuit -This is a challenging group training class that utilizes work-stations to add variety to the workout. Timed intervals keep this class moving as participants move from one station to the next. A certified personal trainer leads the class, coaches and motivates while teaching proper form and safety.
Indoor Cycle - This 45-minute high-energy class utilizes a specially designed stationary bike to provide a fun and challenging cardiovascular workout for all fitness levels. Participants enhance their speed, strength and stamina, improving overall physical health and increase caloric burn.
C.U.T.S. - A challenging strength-training workout which uses a variety of free-weights and resistance. It is designed to tone and strengthen muscles as you alternate through a series of exercises lead by a Personal Fitness Instructor. It incorporates cardio elements to increase your level of conditioning. Beginners are welcome.

Interactive Recreation Room
6201 Florida Blvd.
Description
BREC developed an electronic collaborative leisure environment based on the Interactive Recreation Program (IRP), which established an alternative approach for motivating youth toward health and exercise. The IRP is a variety of modern technologies specializing in movement concepts through exergaming.
Exergaming is a term used for video games that also provide exercise, having one element of exercise and one element of gaming. BREC is applying this structure of recreation and leisure "exertainment" to encourage more people to live active and healthier lifestyles. Related Links
