Howell Community Park

114.36 Acres - This park is located in the mid-west part of East Baton Rouge Parish. Howell Community Park serves a larger geographic area than a neighborhood park and is designed to engage the entire family for a whole day. Higher levels of maintenance, security, and recreational opportunities are offered at community parks.This is one of BREC's oldest parks. It is one of BREC's busiest parks, due in large part to the number of facilities available.

The course features a short, parkland-style, 18-hole course measuring 5,700 yards. A canal crosses 10 holes of the course making club selection extremely important. Howell Park's layout is very walker-friendly and the pro shop offers pull carts and electric carts for rent. You will find a brisk pace of play to your liking when you visit Howell Park. The large playground is a space-themed playground complete with a rocket-ship climbing aparatus. Kids love it! Parents can relax while watch the kids play or get in the fun themselves.

Youth league sports games are played at this park.
