Summer tennis camp Information and registration forms
Hours of Operation for all Tennis Centers
Mon.-Thurs. from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. EXCEPT Greenwood Tennis Center which is open from 3-10 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. EXCEPT Greenwood Tennis Center, which is closed but courts are available for free play.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m.-6 p.m. EXCEPT Independence Tennis which will remain open until 8 p.m.
BREC's Tennis Facilities
BREC has five major tennis centers which feature pro shops, lighted courts, racquet stringing, instruction and racquet and ball machine rentals.

Day fee, evening fee begins at 6 p.m.

$8 per hour
Ball machine rental is available at Independence Park, Highland Road Park and Capital One Tennis Center at City Park for $5 per hour. Ball rental is $3 per hour.
Neighborhood Tennis Courts
BREC has numerous neighborhood tennis courts located throughout the parish. Neighborhood courts are open to the public and are free of charge. Click here for a listing of BREC tennis courts. Youth Programming
BREC's Tennis Centers offer a variety of programming for youth players. Programs include two year-round tennis academies (Independence and Highland Parks), QuickStart tennis, tournaments, after-school programs, and Holiday camps. Individual and group instruction for various skill levels is provided by certified tennis instructors. While Baton Rouge is celebrating its own bike month, May is National Bike Month. BREC’s Baton Rouge Velodrome is pictured and mentioned in Bicycling Magazine’s “A Dizzy Dozen” for being one of the most colorful and unusual in the country.
BREC Launches Expedition BREC Program
As part of the nationwide effort to get 10-million more kids to spend more time outdoors, BREC is launching a new six-month program called Expedition BREC. The program will kick off at one of BREC’s premier events, Zippity Zoo Fest on April 6-7, and will include interactive displays representing the many different ways BREC offers children and families to get moving, get outdoors and have fun.
Upcoming Meetings for the BREC/BRABA Basketball League for 2012-2013
The organizational meetings for BREC/BRABA Basketball League for 2012-2013 season will be held Sept. 11 and 18, at the BREC Milton J. Womack Office Ballroom.
