SATURDAY MORNING ART
This revised program (formally Saturday Morning Studios) will focus on different types of art, different mediums, genres and themes. We will meet most Saturdays through April with topics that are fun, creative, different and educational.
ART + CULTURE
These classes are to highlight the many aspects of different cultures that influence art. Each class students will study and create a piece of art after a celebrated cultural artist or a vital piece of current culture.
Jan. 18: Pacita Abad, trapunto art and textile art
Feb. 15: Sign Language, visual art highlighting different sign language signs
March 15: Jean-Michel Basquiat, expression, abstract meaning and message through symbols
April 19: Joiri Minaya – collage, patterns and tints
