Mardi Gras Fun Run Vendor Application

Thank you for your interest in participating in BREC's 2025 Mardi Gras Fun Run is taking place Saturday, February 22 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at BREC's Perkins Road Community Park. 

 

Mardi Gras Fun Run is a festive walk, roll, and run event that celebrates both Mardi Gras and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. This inclusive event promotes awareness for developmental disabilities, with yellow representing the official awareness color. Open to all participants, regardless of ability, the Mardi Gras Fun Run invites everyone to join in the fun. Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite Mardi Gras attire and enjoy getting doused in vibrant Mardi Gras colors as they make their way through the course. It’s a celebration of community, inclusion, and fun for all!

 General Requirements

  • Application & Approval – All vendors must submit an application and receive approval before participating.
  • Payment – There is no cost for a business or organization to participate
  • Donation Requirement –Vendor donations are completely optional and at the vendor's discretion. In-kind donations, such as products or services, are encouraged as an alternative to monetary contributions. For example, vendors may choose to donate a portion of their goods for raffles or prizes, or provide items that can help offset event costs or enhance the overall event experience.
  • Capacity – Vendors should be prepared to serve an estimated 300-600 attendees.

Setup & Booth Requirements

  • Setup Time – Vendors must arrive and complete setup at least 2 hours before the event begins.
  • Breakdown Time: Vendors may begin breaking down their area only after the event officially ends at 1:00pm
  • Check-in – Vendors must check in upon arrival to receive their designated space. Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.
  • Required Equipment – Vendors must bring their own tent, tent weights (at least 25 pounds per leg), table(s), and chair(s).
  • Electricity – No electricity will be provided. Vendors needing power must bring their own generator.

Food & Beverage Vendors

  • Must comply with all local health codes.
  • No alcohol vendors will be permitted.

Cleanliness & Event Policies

  • Vendors must maintain a clean space and dispose of all trash properly. No dumping of liquids, grease, or food waste on-site.
  • Vendors must be respectful to attendees, staff, and fellow vendors. 
  • Any disputes or issues should be directed to event organizers. 

 Weather & Cancellation

  • This is a rain-or-shine event. Vendors should plan accordingly.
  • In the case of severe weather, event organizers will provide updates.
