The deadline for requests for June sessions is May 20 and for July sessions June 17. Line 1 of the tax form must meet the federal/state poverty guidelines to qualify. To qualify using SNAP, proof of current benefits must be documented with the name of the person registering camper(s) and have the camper(s) names listed as dependents. Once a completed request and all correct documentation has been received you will be notified within ten business days if it has been accepted. Summer Camp Refunds
Registrants must request all refunds on a 2024 Summer Camp Refund form which can be downloaded at below or picked up at your summer camp location. Completed forms must be emailed to summercamps@brec.org. Refund form coming soon.
If a registrant requests a refund more than 10 business days prior to the start of the session, BREC will issue the full session fee minus a $15 transaction fee. If a registrant requests a refund 10 business days or less from the start of the session, BREC will not issue a refund. All checks must clear the bank before BREC processes any refunds. BREC does not issue a refund for any session already in progress. Please allow 3-4 weeks for BREC to issue a refund after the refund form has been submitted. Camp BREC Bus Stops
This summer, Camp BREC will be offering the new transportation service for all Community Recreation camps to assist parents and guardians in getting their campers to the main camp location while also making camps more accessible to everyone in the area.
To accommodate this, we have increased the number of campers and staff at each camp. Each stop will have early pick-up times where each camper must be signed in with the staff member on the bus by a parent or guardian. Campers cannot be dropped off until the bus arrives. There will also be a set return time to the bus stop at the end of the camp day. BREC staff will be onsite to keep the camp day going until the campers are picked up by 5:30 p.m.
A bus schedule will be provided prior to the start of camp. You may also still drop off campers at the main camp location. Bus stop locations for each camp location will be listed the Community Recreation Summer Camp Page
Please note: Because we will have limited camp offerings for Session 9, there will be no Bus Stops offered.
If you are interested in using this camp accommodation, you must sign up during summer camp registration.
